I had an absolutely horrible experience with Daily Candy Deals, and although I love their newsletter, I would advise you all NOT to purchase from this company. I received a deal from the Black Box Dessert Club as a gift, and when I went to use the promo code, it was invalid. After contacting Daily Candy’s customer service department via email, I waited almost a week before receiving a reply, which said they were working on resolving the issue. After not hearing back, I tried the code again, which was valid but worth the wrong value. I reached out to customer service two more times before receiving a reply (after the code had expired), saying they had refunded the credit card the deal was purchased on. Since I received this as a gift (as I had already mentioned in our email correspondence) the credit card refunded was not mine. I have since called Daily Candy Deals and left messages with their customer service department TWICE, expressing my frustration with their service, and still have not received a response almost three weeks later. They have definitely lost my business due to their incredibly unprofessional behavior. I would recommend using Living Social or Groupon instead, as I have only had great experiences with those companies.
I have just had such a horrible experience with Daily Candy Deals – I just really wanted to share. Any advice would be appreciated as well.

I tried to purchase 2 tickets to see Swan Lake at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. There was an error and it only processed the purchase of 1 ticket. So then I purchased another ticket separately but was worried about the seats being together so I called Daily Candy and was told to just work it out with the LA Philharmonic. When I called the LA Philharmonic, I was told that through this deal, you do not get to select seats but instead get the left over seats and are in will call on the day of. This was not disclosed in the description of the deal!! I tried to reach Daily Candy immediately after I found out (same day of purchase) to return the purchase, but was unable to reach anyone. It has been one month – I have sent emails and called nearly EVERY DAY and have received no response!! This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received and I will never use them again! I will also spread the word to anyone I can about this experience.
